What People are Saying cont...

"My friend read me one of your stories last night. It was lovely to hear it spoken out loud and this morning I woke early and read two more. You are a good writer!! I really admire the way you take a simple idea and capture the moment so beautifully. That is a gift."

~ Lynda Wilde, (photographer and poet) Kingston, Ontario.

"I feel honored to have a signed copy of your book and enjoyed reading the first story to my friend as we were on the ferry last night. It was an especially resonant story as it captured the scenario that I used to be part of when I went to visit my ex-husband’s parents! I am looking forward to reading more and will no doubt have more to say when I have read it all."

~ Juliet Chalis, (potter), Broadstairs, England.

"Congratulations on your book. Short stories are my favourite form of literature. And your website is lovely....very simple and classy, easy to navigate and clear. Way to go!"

~ Valerie Davidson, (jewellery designer-goldsmith), Keene, Ontario.

English Translation: "Because of you, I very carefully washed my tomato at dinner last night; I’m still laughing about it! I haven’t yet read all your stories, but most of them. I don’t want to read them too quickly because I might forget what I have read. This note is to congratulate you--sincerely. You give a lot of pleasure to the reader with the content as well as the style of your stories. All your stories are interesting and we soon get used to expecting a little twist at the end which can be funny or touching or both at the same time. All in all, your book is full of emotion, sensitivity and humour. I also admire your variety of subjects and I think that what strikes me the most is the pleasure you have taken in composing these stories, pleasure communicated to the reader."

~ Colette Tonge, (retired Queen’s University professor, finalist for the Governor General Award, for the translation of Robertson Davies’ Leaven of Malice into the French Un heureux canular).
