Accident: Long Legged Lake, ON. Lat 50.46N, Long 9408W. 21-Jun-1983. The take-off was attempted from a glassy water surface heading towards a cliff. The pilot stated that the a/c would not climb and a turn became necessary to avoid the cliff. During the turn, the a/c stalled and struck the water but remained upright. A longer take-off run was available.

Accident: Warroad, Minnesota, 19-Jun-1988. The pilot decided to land in the lake approximately 1,000 yds from the sea plane base and was attempting a step-taxi back to the base when the aircraft struck a sand bar. The pilot stated that he was taxiing near tall grass where he thought the water was deep enough to taxi on, When the aircraft struck the sand bar, the pilot did not notice the sand bar prior to beginning his taxi. After the aircraft struck the sand bar it nosed over to an inverted attitude in the water. The pilot and one passenger uninjured and two passengers received minor injuries. Aircraft suffered substantial damage, NTSB report CHI88LA136.

Incident 06-Jul-1998 Operator Sound flight Inc. When selecting different fuel tank, panel mounted fuel selector valve handle-pin which holds handle to shaft came out of position. This would not allow tank selection to be made. Submitter suggested to prevent recurrence during pre-flightand routine inspection, move handle, and check pin for loosness and proper operation.

Mods Include:  Edo 4930 floats, Kenmore mods, forward battery and alternator, bubble door and rear rectangular windows, tip tanks and three-blade Hartzell prop.

Colour Scheme: In Feb 2008 all over yellow with light blue trim, light blue speed line tapering to tail and matching tail accent.
