CF-JFL Connolly-Dawson Airways, Dawson City, YT. Circa 1959 – 1965.

Accident: Watsons Lake Airport. YT. Lat 60.07N, Long 128.49W. 07-Feb-1965. The accident occurred because the pilot landed the wheel equipped aircraft approx 60ft from the edge of the runway in deep snow and nosed over during conditions of reduced visibility. It was considered that the pilot encountered the weather condition because of inadequate pre flight and in flight planning (lack of radio use) and continued the flight into unfavourable weather conditions. The pilot R. S. Gehrke was uninjured but the aircraft received substantial damage.
