Incident: Location unknown. 03-Aug-2003. A bolt in the tail wheel assembly was found to be broken upon landing and caused minor damage to the assembly and local skin area. There was evidence that the bolt had been cracked previously. ASI became aware of a possible problem through pilot’s request for a ferry permit and determined this to be an incident through visual inspection.
