52-6089 was made available to the 6600th Air Depot AMO (Air Material Overseas Unit) unit of the USAF at Downsview on 23-Jan-1953, accepted 05-Feb-1953 and delivered to the Air Defence Command at Stewart AFB., and the 4700th Air Base Group. Where it remained until passed to the 9th Liaison Squadron on the same base on 15-Apr-1953. This allocation was short lived as it soon moved to the 514th Air Defence Group at Minneapolis St Paul on 28th May 1953 It suffered This move was even shorter as it then moved to Duluth AFB., with the 515th ADF Group on 12-June 1953 and suffered category 2 (minor / medium) damage in a crash following mechanical failure 6 miles SW of Tofte, MN., 26-Jun-1953 when attached to the 11th Fighter Interceptor Squadron a component of the 515th Group. Staying with the 515th the aircraft is confirmed at Duluth Municipal Airport from 01-Mar-1954, it suffered category 3 (medium/serious) damage in a landing accident whilst at Sioux Lookout, ON.,, Canada. 04-Apr-1954. Pilot Francis W. Greenhough, following which its assignment was terminated on 01-Jul-1954 and the aircraft was scrapped.
