Incident: Location unknown. Possibly Ottawa River. Late 1950. Blown into a boathouse in a storm and repair scheme submitted by de Havilland Canada in Jan-1951.

Accident: Laurentian’s Ottawa Seaplane Base, Ottawa River. 23-May-1952. After installing floats at the Rockcliffe Air Station, the Laurentian Air Services Ltd mechanic obtained permission to taxi the aircraft to the Laurentian Air Services Ltd., seaplane base, 2 miles upstream. On arrival the mechanic attempted to pick up a mooring buoy but because of a strong wind and swift current the aircraft collided with Beaver CF-FHR which was moored to a buoy. The left float of CF-DJI climbed up on the left float of CF-FHR cutting it. The added weight of CF-DJI plus the current and wind forced CF-FHR up on its nose. By the time CF-DJI had been on a buoy, CF-FHR had turned completely on her back and was floating down stream. It was later retrieved and towed to Rockcliffe Air Station where it was hoisted out of the water.
