Accident: 7ml N of Thompson, MB. Lat 49.20N, Long 98.15W. 20-Sep-1970. The aircraft was returning to its base with a load of fish and fish eggs. It was cruising at approximately 1,150 feet above the ground when it suffered a sudden flame out, the low altitude precluded more than one quick attempt to re-light which was unsuccessful. The aircraft crashed into tall timber. There was substantial damage to the aircraft. The pilot was uninjured but smelled of fish for weeks afterwards.
