Accident: Suffered category 3 damage (serious) in a landing accident when assigned to the 530^th Air Defence Group. Following the accident the aircraft’s reduction to salvage was authorised.

USAF History

52-6067 was made available on 05-Nov-1952 and accepted on 13-Nov-1952 by the 6600^th Air Depot AMO (Air Material Overseas Unit), at Downsview, ON., after which it was assigned to the Air Defence Command and delivered to the 4702^nd Defence Wing at Geiger AFB., WA., on 24-Nov-1952 before transferring to one of this units components, the 530^th Air Defence Group after the Air Defence Command was re organised from 01-Aug-1953. The aircraft suffered category 3 damage (serious) in a landing accident at Geiger Field, WA. 21-Mar-1954. Following the accident the aircraft’s reduction to salvage was authorised.
