51-16562 was made available on 10-Sep-1952 and accepted on 17-Sep-1952 by the 6600^th Air Depot AMO (Air Material Overseas Unit), at Downsview, ON., after which it was delivered to the Tactical Air Command at Alexandria AFB., LA., and the 6^th Liaison Squadron on 30-Sep-1952. Its history was short lived as its assignment was terminated on 09-Oct-1953 following an accident on 24-Aug-1953 5 mi. west of Vega, TX. It suffered category 4 (serious) damage in a ground collision.
