This was the normal way of shipping completed aircraft overseas, by rail, then sea. Here we see c/n 1007 on a railroad siding adjacent to de Havilland Canada Downsview, Ontario, factory.
Colours were Grey #120 below speedline, light grey on top and under wings, about four feet of red on wingtips, fin and rudder grey. Leading edge of wing grey. Fuselage top and side white. Tailplane same as wings with approximately eighteen inches of red. Flying Horse on each side of fuselage, similar to Beaver #94.
