30-Aug-1948 – Certificate of Registration issued – H.H. Sewell, Baie Comeau, QC

20-Jun/Aug-?-1948 – Lease to Québec North Shore Paper Company, Montréal, QC

Dates confused on various documents – Lease to Atlas Aviation Ltd, Ottawa, ON.

30-Aug-1948 – Certificate of Airworthiness Issued

11-Jan-1955 – Certificate of Registration issued – Austin Airways, Toronto, ON.

13-Aug-1959 (Date of note on file) – “CF-FHE was damaged in an accident twenty-five miles from Wakeham Bay, Québec.”

20-Mar-1968 – Confirmation that the aircraft was permanently withdrawn from service and CF-FHE deleted from the CCAR. 

Accident: Northern Québec 26-Jul-1959. Fuel starvation at 61 21N, 72 23W, 25 miles from Wakeham Bay, Québec. On take off run aircraft did not become airborne, ran ashore and overturned receiving substantial damage. Pilot and two passengers uninjured. Cause reported as inattention to fuel system by pilot.
