Accident:-20 mi. Northwest of Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan, 18-Jul-1969. Accident occurred whilst the aircraft was forest fire bombing. The aircraft was equipped with external roll tanks above the floats and following a drop it struck trees crashed and burned. The two crewmembers suffered fatal injuries. Apparently the aircraft had the reputation for being one of the finest performing Beavers of its day, capable of speeds well above average. Info supplied by Gord Bell, B.C. Forest Service Fire Protection Program 24-Nov-2005.
